TNA Shines in the National Club Awards
Tuggeranong Netball Association has been crowned the ACT’s Good Sports Club of the Year by Good Sports.
Managed by the Alcohol and Drug Foundation, Good Sports is Australia’s largest preventative health initiative in community sport, working with more than 9,000 Aussie clubs to build a healthier sporting nation.
The Good Sports Awards recognise strong clubs and the dedicated people within these clubs who are passionate about community sport and committed to making their clubs the best they can be.
Tuggeranong Netball Association (TNA) has reached the highest level of the Good Sports program, implementing policies around alcohol management, tobacco and safe transport. It is also committed to providing a positive and supportive environment for junior players, as well as promoting healthy food and drink options.
The Association also has a strong focus on improving social inclusion and encourages broad participation, including people with disabilities, migrants, refugees and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders.
“TNA are proud to be more than a sport, but a community. We are inclusive and supportive of all, seek to be reflective of the broader community, and lead our members to lead healthy and enjoyable lifestyles,” Club President Jonathan Toze said.
